The Renaissance Campaign
The Renaissance Project is our campaign to upgrade George Abbot School’s arts facilities. The campaign target is £250,000 and the school community is planning an ambitious and exciting series of events and fundraising activities. We want to create a set of inspiring, sustainable and accessible spaces to house our outstanding arts activity including ceramics, fashion, fine art, photography and textiles.
Conceptual Design for new Arts Facility
Existing Arts Facility
We are one of the highest performing state schools in the country; we have a longstanding reputation for excellence in the arts; and an unshakeable belief in the power and value of creativity. However, it is time to upgrade the arts spaces in school to ensure that they match our reputation and continue to reflect the talent of the students and the passion of the staff team. By investing in creativity, we are confident that our students will reap the benefits. The arts can play a key role in developing critical thinking and problem solving as well as encouraging risk taking and creating a sense of well-being. We are very excited at the launch of this joint project to revitalise the arts facilities in school. There is no shortage of talent – only inspirational spaces.
You can contribute to the Renaissance Project and support our next generation of artists and makers by making a one off donation through Wisepay (parents only) or
Wonderful.org or by donating giving money towards one of the art department’s wish list items.
